At the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program we regard the health and well being of our customers, staff and community as our number one priority. At the advice of medical professionals, and in an effort to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus, we have made the difficult decision to close all offices and child care centers to the public from Tuesday, March 17, until further notice. Our team will continue to provide services remotely, when possible, in an effort to care for the families and individuals that depend on our services. If you have an appointment scheduled at one of our facilities, please note that we will be in touch with you to discuss remote services. For more information you can email our office at info@kvcap.org or call 1-800-542-8227.

We take the safety of our drivers and passengers very seriously. Drivers have been issued disinfectant wipes, gloves and sprays as well as guidance from the Federal Transit Administration on effective procedures for preventing disease spread. We receive daily updates from our contacts at the CDC, DHHS, and MaineDOT. Directives are rapidly evolving, as are our response plans.
We are evaluating how our service model may change in the near future. We are required to issue public notices for reductions in public transit service and are still assessing demand while giving people an opportunity to obtain supplies in preparation for an extended isolation.
