In fall of 2025, the Hight Family Early Learning Center will open its doors as part of the new Margaret Chase Smith Community School in Skowhegan. The center, a wing of the new school building, is a collaboration between KVCAP, MSAD #54, and community partner Sam Hight of the Hight Family of Dealerships, and will provide quality early care and education for children 6 weeks through preschool.
The center embodies the belief that learning begins at birth. Providing Early Head Start and Head Start comprehensive services, including family coaching support, helps ensure that Skowhegan area children are prepared to continue their education journey at the Margaret Chase Smith Community School and beyond.
The Hight Family Early Learning Center will include four infant/toddler classrooms and eight preschool classrooms providing care and education for up to 160 children, and will employ 50 KVCAP staff members. Enrollment for Fall 2025 is available now at www.kvcap.org.
